CHEESEBURGER IN PARADISE.........

or close to it anyway! Tom had one in Margaritaville in Myrtle Beach! What a fabulous vacation we had. There's no holding us back now that Tom has discovered he LOVES flying! He was practically climbing out the window to sit on the wing! We took my sister, Donna and brother-in-law Herb with us. We flew out of Boston, totally hassle free cause FlightLine picked us up at Donna's house and when we got back into Boston they were there waiting to take us back to Salisbury Beach. In fact the whole vacation was pretty much hassle free - just like a vacation should be. Here we are in Boston looking out at our plane...

The airports were no problem as we shipped our luggage via UPS so we didn't have to wait for it at the airport and it was waiting for us at the Inn when we got there. The ride from Raleigh (where we flew into) was a little long and boring (not much to see) but boy was the Marina Inn where we stayed beautiful. We were only on the 4th floor in a beautiful suite with 2 bedrooms, huge baths, kitchen and more. The valets were great as were all the staff there - when we got ready to ship our luggage back home they even did it for us! I loved the fitness room (managed to get up every day at 6 and hit the treadmill). The Inn was within walking distance of their private beach area (see next pic) - in fact it was only a mile and I walked it on one of the hottest days there.

The Marina Inn had 3 restaurants and a cabana at the beach. My "AHA" moment was when Tom and I took the rental car, got coffee and munchkins at Dunkin Donuts and hit the beach at 6AM - very few people on it that early and the ones that were there were very friendly - we met so many nice people while we were away.
We took a day and travelled to Charleston, took a buggy ride to tour the city, hit the boardwalk, had lunch and looked around some. I was intrigued by the old jail and the stories our tour guide told us of the spirits that still haunt it.

There was never a dull moment for us - we saw the show "LEGENDS", went to Broadway At The Beach, also went to Barefoot Landing and saw some gators, had dinner at the Dixie Stampede and shopped til we dropped!
And, let's not forget going to the ballgame and watching the Pelicans play ball! Here's a couple of pics - that's Tom in the kids section.

Needless to say we enjoyed ourselves beyond words....as I said before, there's no stopping us now and who knows where we might end up next time - and believe me, there will be a next time, very soon! Here's some pics of the Marina Inn and the view from the bridge - across the bridge was an exclusive golf course and the "high cotton" houses! Wait....I think I hear the Grand Canyon and the glass walk calling our names!
