THE CCFA WALK

It's that time again........the Crohn's and Colitis kickoff event has happened and we've started fundraising. It's not easy asking people for money and sometimes it's not easy to donate money but it's also not easy to have any of these diseases. If you think about that then donating that coffee money may come just a little bit easier.

This year our teams have combined once again. The Royal Flush (see above picture from last years event) and the Gutsy Guys and Gals are ONE team once again. Instead of competing against each other (but always for the same purpose) we're together doing all we can to help find a cure for these diseases.

Tom and Sherie (my husband and sister) are both doing well. Trent is headed for surgery. We all pray everyday for these 3 and that there illnesses stay at bay. We pray Trent recovers and bounces back better than before.

Please remember Breast Cancer events started out small until the word and awareness got out and now look at it! The same thing will happen with the CCFA. Did you know there are marathons in Hawaii and other states for them? It's not just Portland, Maine that has a walk - they're everywhere - you just don't hear about them probably.

Keep us in mind at the end of May and please donate! Click on the link to the right of my blog page or send a check! Thank you all so much!

  1. What a wonderful post Karen. A few years back a CNA I work with only had change in her pocket but asked if she could donate that...every little bit counts! Thank you so much for your prayers and well wishes for Trent. You and Tom are such a blessing!
