I finished reading another wonderful blog just now that was entitled A Challenge. I read it earlier in the week, again last night and then again tonight. It was tonight that it really hit home with me. It's almost Thanksgiving.....while Tom and I will be surrounded by friends and family and giving our thanks for being blessed with health, happiness and love as well as good jobs, a wonderful house, lots of material "stuff" there are many people who won't be thinking that way. That's fairly obvious or it should be.
Our local hospital where I work is full of changes lately...it's affecting us all. Without going into detail as it would render my random act of kindness useless to tell according to the rules....I had the opportunity this week several times to practice this. For that I am thankful.
My friends care about me, they support me, they tell when I have something in my teeth, they sit in my chair in front of my desk at work and tell me what's going on with themselves, they smile and laugh and cry with me - the one thing they don't do is purposedly try and destroy others. For that I am thankful - take time this week and support a friend - don't judge until you've walked a mile in their shoes - don't just do the obvious - take the time and do some soul searching. You just may end up a better person for it!
Happy Thanksgiving to All................and to all of Tom's and my friends and relatives....God bless you and thank you for being there.
